Join one trip by text

Commander sends informational trip updates to invited chaperones and family members who choose to join a specific trip.

For families and Trackers

Text the exact trip code

Your school, team, or Trip Owner gives you a Commander phone number and a trip code on a permission slip or in a direct trip message. Texting that exact code means you agree to receive informational SMS from Commander by Black Flag Design for that trip.

Message frequency varies based on your questions and trip activity. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help or STOP to cancel. Consent is not a condition of purchase.

What Commander sends

  • Confirmation that your phone joined the requested trip.
  • Answers you request about arrival time, current trip status, and stops or delays.
  • A clear boundary response when Commander cannot answer a question.

Commander does not send advertising, sell phone lists, or enroll you in unrelated trips.

For the invited Commander

Before a Trip Owner enters a chaperone's number, the chaperone must agree to receive the one-time invitation and trip-related SMS. The Owner confirms that permission in Commander before the invitation is sent. The invitation identifies Commander, explains how to stop messages, and expires after 24 hours.

Help or opt out

Reply HELP for help. Reply STOP to stop messages from the shared Commander number. To rejoin later, reply START, wait for carrier confirmation, then text an active trip code.
