Terms
The rules for using Commander web, native, location, and SMS services.
The service
Commander is a Black Flag Design service for one group-return trip at a time. A Trip Owner creates the trip, invites one chaperone as Commander, and shares a trip code with family Trackers. Commander provides informational status; it is not an emergency, dispatch, safety, attendance, or guaranteed-arrival service.
SMS program terms
Trackers opt in by texting an exact trip code supplied by their school, team, or Trip Owner. Invited Commanders agree to the one-time invitation and trip-related messages before the Owner enters their number. Message frequency varies based on questions and trip activity. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help or STOP to cancel. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Consent is not a condition of purchase.
Location and permissions
The Commander must knowingly grant native background-location permission and start the trip. The device may report location while locked until the Commander stops or closes the trip. Trackers do not share location. Users must not bind a device or enter a phone number without the person's authorization.
Acceptable use
Do not use Commander for emergencies, unlawful surveillance, harassment, spam, deceptive enrollment, or trips where you lack authority. Do not share invitation secrets or trip codes outside the intended group. Black Flag Design may restrict abusive traffic or disable a trip to protect users and the service.
Availability and changes
Mobile networks, GPS, routing providers, device power settings, and internet access can delay or interrupt results. Commander reports stale or unavailable data instead of inventing a live answer. The service and these terms may change as the pilot develops; material changes will be posted here.
